Small GROUPS
Faith formation is at the heart of what the Christian life is all about. In many ways, we engage in it through the practices of our daily lives and the rituals of our faith community—through worship, mission, working for justice and peace, evangelism, and spiritual nurture — in this way our faith is cultivated, enlivened, sustained, and formed. In this regard, the imagery offered by the prophet Isaiah of God as a potter forming humanity, God’s created own, is an appropriate vision for how we might view the ministry of faith formation.

Currently, First Presbyterian Church offers these planned faith formation opportunities:
-
Sunday Morning Lydia Class – 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM
-
The nursery is open from 9:45 AM until the end of Worship (around 11:00 AM)

Children’s Time in Worship: children are welcomed into our worship services. Worship bags with activities are provided as is a children’s table in the sanctuary. After the children’s message, children can attend nursery class until the end of worship or they can remain in the sanctuary with parent(s)/guardian(s).

Fellowship Hour after worship is a time of sharing, of discovering of what we have in common with others while enjoying light refreshments.

Messy Church is a program offered once every other month (Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct, Dec.) It is a way for all-ages to experience fun and faith formative activities. It is specifically designed for families to be together to celebrate, be creative, experience hospitality, and centering ourselves in Christ.
