After-Easter Announcements

Thank you to our worship leaders, choir, and staff who made Holy Week services, Easter, and the egg hunt possible! We appreciate your generosity with your time and your faithfulness in serving and sharing your gifts! There is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall to sign up for refreshments after church. Please sign up, so we can continue fellowship time. Thanks in advance from the Spiritual Nurture Ministry Team. Do you like planning parties? Like gathering people together to celebrate life? We are planning a block party this summer and are looking for members of the planning team. It’s a great short-term way to get involved, and it should be a lot of fun! One of our hearing-assistive devices is missing. Have you seen it? Perhaps took it home by mistake? If you see it, please return it to the church lobby. Thank you! We are looking for volunteers to count the weekly offering. If you are interested, please contact Dani Cole. (270-528-6665) We are looking for nursery-preschool assistants for Sunday mornings. You could volunteer once a month on Sunday from 10:00 A.M.to 11:00 A.M. for class. You will work with the present teacher, Vicki Johnson. If you would know someone who would be able to do this every Sunday as a paid job, that is also an option. Talk to Chelsea if you’re interested.

Helmwood Healthcare is having a rummage sale on Saturday, April 29th. If anyone from First Presbyterian Church would like to donate items, they can be dropped off during the week before the sale. Anyone interested in shopping the sale, it is from 9:00 to 2:00 on the 29th. All proceeds will go to support resident activities and recognition opportunities of the caring staff at Helmwood. Former Living Waters Guatemala teammate Eric Guzman passed away last week following a long battle with cancer. He was only 53, retired military serving both the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army as a combat engineer. Eric traveled with the team back to his family's home country, Guatemala, in 2011 and 2012 serving the group well as a translator. He and his family moved to Columbia, SC shortly after those trips. Keep Eric's wife, Dawn, and the family in your prayers. The funeral is 11:00AM Thursday, and will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/DunbarDevine. Burial with Military Honors takes place at 1:00PM at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
